Thank you for your interest in helping us test the new version of Video Slave and ADR Master before the official release. Here are download links for the first beta version of Video Sync 5 and ADR Master 2:

Video Slave gets Video Sync

You may have noticed that we wrote "Video Sync 5" instead of "Video Slave 5" above. Several users have expressed their concern about the term "slave" as part of the app name in the last years. We understand that in today's world language is more important than ever so we have decided to rename Video Slave to Video Sync permanently with this new release.

Your help is important

To make the most out of the beta period we would like to ask you to use the software as part of your normal daily workflow if possible. In case you’re running into any problems or if you’re noticing something that doesn’t look right to you please send an email to support@non-lethal-applications.com. To make solving a problem easier, please follow these steps:

• Describe the problem as good as possible
• Feel free to append screenshots or a short mobile phone video that illustrates the problem
• If possible, please try to provide steps to reproduce the issue

New features and improvements

Video Sync and ADR Master

• Avid Satellite Link support
  Video Sync and ADR Master now integrate seamlessly into Avid's ecosystem through the Satellite Link protocol.
  This requires Pro Tools Ultimate. HDX or HD Native hardware is not strictly required when using only one Pro Tools system (running at least version 2020.12) with Video Sync and ADR Master. Starting from version Pro Tools 2021.3 Pro Tools can also connect to Video Sync and ADR Master when running on the same machine. To use Video Sync and ADR Master in a larger satellite network with up to 12 participants at least one Pro Tools Ultimate system with Sync HD or Sync X is required.
• Dual playback
  You can now playback two video streams simultaneously in different dual playback modes. You can choose from A/B, side-by-side and picture-in-picture.
• Uniform and refined dark UI
  We have fine-tuned our dark UI which is now used for both Video Sync and ADR Master. For areas where text is shown, ADR Master still uses a light background to make working with text easier.
• Slim media bin view for easier organization
  You can now choose between a detailed and slim media view to make organizing media easier.
• Support for iLok network licenses and iLok Cloud
  You can now use iLok network licenses and also iLok Cloud for perpetual licenses.

ADR Master

• Import cues from/export cues to Netflix' new Times Text Authoring Lineage (TTAL) format
  We are proud to be one of the first companies to support Netflix' new TTAL file format with ADR Master. The format is aimed to make data exchange between editors and Netflix easier.
• Excel file export
  ADR Master can now also export Excel files.
• Rich text/text formatting support throughout the app
  You can now use text formatting (bold, underline, italic, strikethrough, text color) throughout ADR Master. Cues with text formatting can be imported from Word and Excel files. PDF and Excel file export will also contain the formatted text.
• Improved event filtering with adjacent
  Include a definable number of adjacent cues when filtering e.g. by character before and after each line.
• Extended ADR Cue Reasons
  We have redesigned the ADR Cue reasons available in ADR Master. You can now select a reason from several categories. In addition to the reasons in ADR Master there are now up to eight user reasons per project.
• Language setting per timeline
  All timelines now have a language field for better use in translation settings. The language will be read from and written to Netflix TTAL files on import/export respectively.
