Cue Pro 26: Replacing Major Versions with Support Plans

June 15th, 2026

blog hero

With Cue Pro 26, perpetual licenses now follow a support plan model instead of paid major-version upgrades. Subscriptions continue to be available. New annual subscriptions now use upfront billing, while monthly subscriptions and existing subscriber terms remain unchanged.

What is a Support Plan?

A support plan gives you 12 months of:

  • All software updates released while your plan is active - new features, refinements, and bug fixes alike. Every new feature and improvement reaches you as soon as it's built - no more waiting for a major version release.
  • Direct email support from us - help with installation, licensing, configuration, and troubleshooting.

When your support plan expires, everything you paid for is yours indefinitely: the version of Cue Pro you have, plus every update released while your plan was active.

To continue receiving updates and support after your plan expires, simply renew for another 12 months.

What's Changing - and What Isn't

What's changing:

  • Updates for perpetual-license customers now follow a support plan model instead of paid major-version upgrades - every new perpetual license includes 12 months of continuous updates.
  • Annual subscriptions for new purchases are now billed as a single upfront payment, rather than monthly across the 12-month term. Existing annual-billed-monthly subscribers are not affected.

What isn't changing:

  • Monthly subscriptions remain the same as before.
  • Existing customers on the annual-billed-monthly plan keep their current terms until cancellation.
  • Perpetual licenses are still permanent - whatever you have at the end of your support plan stays yours.

What This Means for You

If you're an active subscriber

You can access Cue Pro 26 today! Just download and activate with your serial number. Cue Pro and ADR Master Editor subscriptions give access to Cue Pro 26 Edit; ADR Master Studio subscriptions give access to Cue Pro 26 Studio. No rate change! More features, same price.

If you're currently on the annual-billed-monthly plan, your existing terms continue unchanged until cancellation.

If you bought a perpetual license in the last 3 months

Your upgrade to Cue Pro 26 is free. Email support@non-lethal-applications.com and we'll send you an upgrade code.

If you own an older perpetual license (ADR Master 3 or Cue Pro 1)

A discounted crossgrade to Cue Pro 26 is available from the My Licenses page in your account. The crossgrade includes 12 months of support.

Your existing license doesn't expire - you can keep using ADR Master 3 or Cue Pro 1 with the version you have today. However, both products have now reached end-of-development and will not receive further updates. As a small team, focusing development on a single active product line is what lets us keep shipping meaningful updates.

If you're new to Cue Pro

Cue Pro 26 is available now in Edit and Studio tiers. See the product page for current pricing. Every new license includes 12 months of support.

FAQ

What if I don't renew?

Nothing happens to your installation. You keep using whatever version of Cue Pro you had when your plan ended, plus all updates released while it was active. You just don't get any updates released after expiry until you renew.

Can I renew before my plan ends?

Yes. Early renewals extend your existing plan by another 12 months.

Will there ever be a "Cue Pro 27"?

Yes - but not as a paid major-version event. Version numbers will follow a year.month format going forward, so next year you'll see Cue Pro 27. Versions still increment to reflect when a release was made, but updates ship continuously - there's no upgrade to wait or pay for.

Are subscriptions still available?

Yes. Monthly subscriptions continue unchanged. New annual subscriptions are now billed as a single upfront payment (previously billed monthly across the 12-month term); customers currently on the annual-billed-monthly plan keep their existing terms until cancellation.

Subscriptions and perpetual licenses with support plans are different products: with a subscription, your access to Cue Pro ends when your subscription ends. With a perpetual license + support plan, you own a permanent license - the support plan only determines what updates you continue to receive.

Where do I see pricing?

New license pricing is on the Cue Pro 26 product page (toggle between Edit and Studio). Upgrade and crossgrade pricing is shown on the My Licenses page in your account, personalized based on what you already own.
