ADR Master 3.1 and Video Sync 6.1 — Now Available
July 22nd, 2025
We’re excited to announce the release of ADR Master 3.1 and Video Sync 6.1—bringing tighter integration, major workflow enhancements, and powerful new features for editors and recordists. With full Cue Pro Connect support, advanced Pro Tools integration, easier Clip Group imports, and improved visuals for spotting and recording, ADR and playback sessions are now faster and more streamlined than ever. Here’s what’s new:
What's New in ADR Master 3.1
- Modern DAW Control Mode
ADR Master now supports Pro Tools Scripting Library (PTSL) for seamless control of track functions—no more Accessibility setup or lag when renaming tracks or toggling input, mute, or solo (requires Pro Tools 2025.6+). This is enabled with the new Modern DAW Control Mode—which vastly increases performance and makes everything feel faster and more responsive, helping you move through your session with less friction. Legacy DAW Control Modes are still available for compatibility with older Pro Tools systems.
- Linked Timeline Selections
When using Satellite Link in Modern Mode, timeline selections are mirrored between ADR Master and Pro Tools. This enables precise cue navigation and synchronized editing, whether you’re working in ADR Master or directly in Pro Tools.
- Enhanced Cue Display
ADR cue events now show both the Cue Number and 'Done' status directly in the timeline. These events have also been given a new look and feel to make them easier to read and you also now see the rich text attributes in the timeline. The character summary track now reflects the cue track colours too—making it simple to identify which character is speaking and where overlaps occur.
- Bulk Clip Group Track Import
Cue data contained in Pro Tools clip groups can now be imported directly into ADR Master with one click. Just select the relevant cue tracks in the active Pro tools session, and use the new ‘Create Events from Clip Group Tracks’ function in the Event menu. ADR Master will automatically create new character tracks using the Pro Tools track naming structure—like actor name, character name, and cue prefix—and preserve all embedded metadata such as reason codes. Perfect for quickly importing cue sessions from editorial during the recording session.
- Cue Pro Connect Integration
ADR Master now supports direct integration with Cue Pro Connect. You can load event data stored in your Pro Tools session straight from the new Cue Pro Connect panel in the Project tab using the ‘Load Project Data’ button. This makes it easy for a dialogue editor to prep cues in Cue Pro and send only the Pro Tools session to the studio—no separate files required. To send changes back, you can click the ‘Send Project Data’ button to update the active Pro Tools session. It’s a true live roundtrip workflow that keeps supervisors, editors, and recordists fully in sync—streamlining the entire ADR pipeline.
- Packaged Installer with Cue Pro Connect
ADR Master 3.1 now comes bundled with Cue Pro Connect AAX plug-in, so there’s no need for separate downloads or setup. This means sessions created in Pro Tools 2025.6 and later that contain cues stored in the Cue Pro Connect plug-in will automatically be recognised by ADR Master—enabling seamless cue import.
- Matchbox 2 Reconform Support
Picture re-cuts can be dealt with effortlessly using The Cargo Cult's Matchbox 2 software. This can re-conform your audio in Pro Tools and your ADR cues directly in ADR Master 3.1, making sure they're always in sync with the latest cut. With a single click, Matchbox sends the reconform command straight to ADR Master—no need to export, save, or import files. The reconform process inside ADR Master is lightning-fast, updating all cue positions in seconds to match the latest picture cut, while leaving the old cut in the Timeline at the chosen postion for comparison. The navigation keys in Matchbox can be used to quickly drive ADR Master’s transport to compare the same cues at the old cut and new cut positions.
- Streamlined CueLink Settings
It’s now even easier to connect talent or clients to a CueLink session. You can copy the login link or display a QR code that opens the session instantly on a mobile device. There’s also a new button that opens the CueLink page directly in your browser for local preview.
Enhancements in Both ADR Master and Video Sync
- Dedicated Overlay Tracks
ADR Master 3.1 and Video Sync 6.1 introduce new dedicated tracks for Streamer, Marker, and Flutter overlays. Each overlay type track can be shown or hidden independently with a single click using the new show/hide toggle in the overlays track header, so you can focus only on what you need. This helps you keep your workspace clear and optimised for your current task.
- Customizable Track Height
Character Tracks as well as Video and Audio tracks can now be resized by dragging the bottom track header edge. You can also quickly adjust the height of all selected tracks using new keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + ↑/↓. This makes navigating complex sessions, or focussing on individual tracks much more comfortable.
- Unified Interface
The draggable separator between media and event tracks has been removed, creating a sleek and consistent editing experience.
- Quick Region Muting
You can now mute individual media or event regions directly from the timeline by selecting the regions or making a selection across multiple tracks and then using Cmd+M (Mac) or Ctrl+M (Windows).
- Feet+Frames Display Option
Film workflows are now better supported with the option to switch the main time display between Timecode and Feet+Frames—relative to the timeline start value. Just right-click the main counter to toggle views. This also updates the ruler display and the timecode overlay. Import from text files containing Feet+Frames fields is now also supported.
Why These Updates Matter
ADR Master 3.1 builds on the power of Cue Pro’s Pro Tools integrated ADR cueing tools—offering deeper integration with Cue Pro users. Dialogue editors using Cue Pro can now deliver a single Pro Tools session that the recordist can open and instantly begin recording from, without needing to exchange separate ADR Master project files or text files. Once the recording is complete, updated cues and take info can be sent back and saved in the same Pro Tools session. It’s effortless, bidirectional collaboration across editorial and recording teams.
And for Video Sync users, the same interface and usability improvements—like dedicated overlay tracks, resizable timelines, and quick muting—make playback sessions more efficient and flexible too.
